Department of Science and Technology Scholars' Association of Cebu is an incorporation of all school-based DOST scholars' association in Cebu, who have graduated and are currently enrolled in eight(8) different universities and colleges namely; Cebu Institute of Technology (CIT), Cebu State College of Science and Technology (CSCST), Center for Industrial Technology and Enterprise (CITE), Southwestern University (SWU), University of Cebu and College of Technological Sciences - Cebu (UC-CTS), University of the Philippines-Cebu Campus (UP-CC), University of San Carlos (USC), University of San Jose - Recoletos (USJ-R). It serves as the venue of all dost scholars in Cebu for camaraderie and friendship. And in order to foster good relations among scholars from different universities and colleges, the association conduct various forms of socialization like outdoor activities such as Outreach Programs, Tree Planting, the Scholars Night, Seminars and many others. Also this serves as the institution that will link scholars to the scholarship program.

"A Start of something New"

The DOST SA CEBU 1st Scholars Night theme for SY 2006-2007 held last January 20, 2007 at Cheaverz Grill, Talamban, Cebu.

The event was attended by almost 500 DOST scholars who came and thought that the activity was just for a meal but they were'nt expecting that there were lots of fun in-stored for them not just an ordinary dinner instead. The scholars was delighted to witness various talents of their co-scholars in art and music not just a bookworm and hardheaded genius, as many others say "utukan unta badlungon lang!" The image of DosT scholars have grown into various forms as many other were linked in groups and movements in the society.

"Trashion Show" and the "Sholars Idol" made a marked in the whole night of merry making and excitement. DOST SA CIT grabbed the 1st prize in the Trashion Show while Mr. James Nogra of DOST SA UP took the loudest cheers in the search for the Scholar's Idol that made him one the title.
Mr. Rodel Maningo(DOST-SEI head coordinator), Mr. ROberto Base(DOST SA CIT), and Ms. Josephine Villa(DOST SA CSCST) showed their support for such event.
